FM me for Sir Oliver basic prices

they are one of our top choices b/c they gave us all their fees in writing, and i'm sure there is room for negotiating. Even without negotiating they have the lowest prices we've found with such a good reputation

I'm not sure how their prices are. We are not using limos, just a towncar from Watermill to Smithtown Sheraton (maybe 2 miles away) and they wanted $100 for a pick up drop off- Sounded high to me. We saw their cars at the last Watermill showcase and they were immaculate. They are one of the best around from what I heard. I know they don't lease out their cars to any other co their drivers need to be trained in weddings before they send them to do a wedding. The owner was telling a story about how he let a driver go (fired) b/c he was too eager to do a wedding and was not properly trained yet.

Re: anyone using...

I was recommended Sir Oliver and I always heard excellent things about them.

I used them and they were wonderful for my Bachelorette Party and the wedding. But, the driver we had to pick us up for our honeymoon was rude and very nasty. He waited about 45 minutes for us before we left (I was not ready, I had never flown before and I was a nervous wreck. I did not sleep at all the night before). I apologized to him as soon as I walked out my door and he didn't even look at me. Then he proceeded to tell us that we were inconsiderate and what we did was not right. His attitude was terrible. I told him to drop us off and he wouldn't. Then, he continued to complain and tell us off, so I told him to drop us off at my parent's again, but he wouldn't.

Finally, I called Sir Oliver when we arrived at the airport and I asked if there was anything they can do for a ride home. She said she would call me back and she was very sorry for what happened. I waited the whole week and did not hear from them. Finally I got in touch with them the day we were leaving and the owner (Rich) said he had a piece of paper on his desk with all my information on it except for the date of our departure. He also said, he was too lazy to call me to find out the correct information!! Was he kidding? He did, however, find a driver to pick us up at JFK.

Unfortunately, our flight home was a disaster. The plane was late and our bags took over an hour to come out, so we finally got to the limo about 2 hours after we were supposed to. The driver called me (while I was waiting for my bags) and he told me that he would have to charge me $25 extra now. I had no idea that you get charged even if it is out of your control. (To top it off, the ride was $75 when it should have been compensated because of our ride to the airport). He then told me that he would take the $25 off, so we let him drive us home. When we got home, he asked for the $25 because they would take it out of his pay. After a long, tiring day, my husband and I did not want to argue, so we paid him.

About a week after we got home, I called Rich to request a meeting. When I told him that my husband and I would like to meet with him to discuss our experiences, he chuckled and was very reluctant to set a date and time. Finally we agreed and my husband and I went.

End result:

We got $100 back for the ride home from JFK. However, it was not easy. My husband and I were there for over an hour. Rich is very arrogant and he was endlessly defending the driver we had bring us to the airport because he was his uncle. Apparently, there is a problem there.

Just be careful if you decide to use Sir Oliver. Rich also proceeded to tell me that he does not tell customers about extra fees (for instance, if you or your plane is late) because he does not wish to turn them away. He does not tell customers all of the information up front. This is very dishonest. He prefers to make a customer feel foolish if his company did something wrong, rather then take the blame for their mistakes.

If you do decide to use Sir Oliver, do not request Jack. He is Rich's uncle and the driver that took my husband and I to the airport. Definitely request Anthony and/or Rachel. Anthony was my Bachelorette party driver and Rachel was my wedding day driver. Both were excellent and I highly recommend them.

I was incredibly disappointed by them. I heard nothing but wonderful things and I was very happy with my first two experiences with them. It was a huge letdown.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope I helped someone in their search for a limo company.

:)

Wow, I had the total opposite experince with Jack, and Rich for that matter. We have used Sir Oliver many times and always happily. They have always been very curtious and helpful. I would expect to have to pay extra if the driver had to wait 2 hours because of the plane or even 45 minutes for personal reasons. Its not their fault either and they have to pay the driver. And I am sure they have other scheduled jobs as well. Anyway, I would recommend Sir Oliver any day of the week.
Beautiful cars and in my opinion, a super curtious staff!

I want to use them. I heard great things about them. They are far out in LI right? Does anyone know if they carry the new RR limos?

I'm not surprised that other people had good experiences with them. They have a great reputation. They also have beautiful cars. These are the reasons why my husband and I were so dissappointed. Our first experiences were excellent (just like we always heard), but they just let us down. It was so unexpected. I hope that no one else has the same experience because it was awful.

Well, good luck everyone!

I am They really were the only place i went to. I got a pretty good price for what I got. I cant compare to any other place but there is nothing on the BBB on them and they came highly recommended.

I was also very surprised to hear this. I had a wonderful experience with them and I continue to use them for anything else that I have going on and I will always recommend them highly to my friends.
Rich and Jennifer were very nice and accomodating. When Joe picked me up the day of my wedding and told me that I was his Princess for the day - that's how I was treated. I had Jack for an airport ride and he was such a nice guy. I've also used Sir Oliver for speakers that I've booked for conferences and have only heard praise from them.
Sir Oliver is a great limo company and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I am not sure if I am using limos at all, but if I do I will book with them. Anyone I have ever known to have used them has been more than satisfied.
