Anyone using non-traditional music in their ceremony?

Anyone using non-traditional music in their ceremony?

FH and I are getting married in the church I grew up in. My mom is really active in the church still, so I pretty much have carte blanche to do whatever I want in terms of my ceremony.

For the lighting of the unity candle, I want someone to sing 'To Make You Feel My Love' by Garth Brooks. Here are the lyrics:

When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I would offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love
When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love
I know you haven't made your mind up yet
But I would never do you wrong
I've known it from the moment that we met
No doubt in my mind where you belong
I'd go hungry, I'd go blind for you
I'd go crawling down the aisle for you
There ain't nothing that I wouldn't do
To make you feel my love
The storms are raging on a rolling sea
Down the highway of regret
The winds of change are blowing wild and free
But you ain't seen nothing like me yet
There ain't nothing that I wouldn't do
Go to the ends of the earth for you
Make you happy, make your dreams come true
To make you feel my love

I was just wondering if anyone else was using non-traditional music for their ceremony?

I am also using non-traditional music. I have not made up my mind yet. I know I might walk to A moment like this or That Nick Lachey song

I am pretty obsesed with my music.

My Bridal Party is walking down to 'Follow Me' by John Denver.

I will come into 'Songbird' by Fleetwood Mac/Eva Cassidy.

Recessional will be 'I hear a Symphony' Diana Ross and the Supremes.

All of this will be sung by 3 vocalists accompanied by acoustic guitar and percussion.

I'm so excited to hear my friends sing my whole ceremony!

Hey Liz - I think its a pretty song and a good choice.

You're sure you can play it though? I thought churches were very strict when it comes to secular music.

Guests will enter the ceremony room to Into The Mystic by Van Morrison

The processional will be All You Need is Love by the Beatles

I am walking down to Somebody by Depeche Mode

Finally, our recessional will be I Believe (When I Fall In Love) by Stevie Wonder
