I was wondering if anyone was interested in special lighting effects for the reception.
I would really love to have our names spotlighted on the dance floor and possibly have special colored lighting colored on the walls.
Cost wise?... What would I typically be looking at?

The DJ that I booked with offers all the different opitons that you are talking about, not sure of the pricing as i have the sheet at home, but i opted to go for individual color spot lights

It was a few hundred bucks extra. I wanted the names lit up on the dance floor but it didn't make sense for me as i am having a daytime reception! otherwise i would have gotten it.

i'm having a gobo at uplighting at my reception
the cost of the custom gobo (moogram on the dance floor) is 200.00, regular lighting package, truss and 4 lights that's 1500. and uplighting depends on the size of the room, and that's around 800.00
my dj is providing all of this but maybe you can find someone cheaper.

I am looking for lighting also but we decided that we want a band rather than a DJ. Does anyone know of a company that does only lighting??

It was included with the package I got from my band.. Im not sure of the cost for just that type of lighthing since the lighting Im having also changes with each song.
