I can't take care of it... i came to that conclusion that i am not ready for the responsibility of a dog.
its yours as long as you promise it will be in a good home. let me know.

omg i don't mean to judge but hasn't it been less than a week or something? shouldn't you give it some more time? this is a real animal, i hate to see you give up on him so quickly!

im doing the best i can for the dog... im just not ready. so instead of making it live poorly for a week, id rather take care of it sooner. having panic attacks every 10 minutes is not healthy for me or the dog...
i think my landlords are going to take her... they are amazing animal people and will give her the life she deserves, instead of the life i would give her.

Re: anyone want a cocker spaniel?
Give it some time. When I first got my puppy I had some of the same thoughts. 'I can't do this', 'I don't think the dog likes me', 'He's not as good of a dog as I was hoping for' and now I am so happy with my decision to get him and keep him. He makes my day brighter and really is such an important part of my life. Give the experience a little time. You'll be happy you didn't rush into a decision.

the first few weeks are of course not going to be great... they pee they chew they bark. but they do eventually come around...
what exactly is your concern?

Re: anyone want a cocker spaniel?
Puppies can be really difficult at 1st. When I first got mine she was a nightmare. She was impossible to housebreak and had 4 different types of parasites (meaning constant diarea and vomit ). It was sooo stressful and upsetting I wanted to give her up, but I stuck it out and now I can't imagine my life without her. She's like my child! Try to hang in there. FM me if you need advice or support.

Re: anyone want a cocker spaniel?
my landlords have taken her. they are wonderful dog lovers. i couldnt ask for a better home for her. I just wasnt ready. Maybe when josh and i get a place together we can do it, but the responsibility of a brand new puppy on one person was too much for me to handle.
