FH's friend's neighbor just passed away over the weekend. He lived alone and was diabetic and had a heart attack in his house.
So anyway, he had a 9 or 10 yr old black lab who is still healthy and is a very very friendly dog. This guys kids are saying that they are planning on putting the dog to sleep
So if anyone knows anyone who wants a dog or if anyone knows of a place that the dog can be taken to, where he won't be put to sleep, please let me know!!

why wouldnt you just bring the dog to a shelter if you cant get any takers? ugh... can you imagine someone killing you just b/c you're parents couldnt take care of you anymore?!? thats really sad... dogs are no diff IMO

that is the saddest thing i've ever heard! i hope you find someone. actually, i think it's pretty cruel that they're just going to put him to sleep!!!!

i know, its so cruel to put a dog down for pretty much no reason. they didn't even mention trying to find a home for him. fh's friend said they were just like 'yea we're probably going to just put him to sleep' like its nothing. i don't understand how ppl can do that unless the dog is dying or in pain

u should put them to sleep....i have been asking all day and so far nothing...how about u taking him and then just dropping him off at a no kill shelter???

I totally agree. Its so horrible, I want to cry. I wish I could take the dog, but I live in a small apt. that doesn't allow big dogs. I love labs!

I 100% agree! that's so sad!
I'll ask around. I'd love to take the dog myself, i love labs, but it wouldn't be fair to have him be in a basement apartment.

poor puppy.. i wish i could take it in.. but i dont have a big enough apartment.. dont put him to sleep... post flyers...
