anyone want to answer a poll on taste?

I was going to do wine bottles from a local vineyard as our favor personalized with the name and wedding date, then I came across this when I thought it would be a good idea to put our e-pic in the front and then guests can put pics fromt the wedding in the album or do whatever.
Their about the same cost.

Ok I voted for the wine - BUT I will say I think it depends on the quality of wine and the type of wine - you don't have to spend a lot of money - but I am sure you know some places are MUCH better than others. Also some people are picky and won't drink white, and some won't drink red - so I think if you want to please people I would go with the photos - but I like the wine!

Thanks for your thoughts! I was thinking the same thing, but at the same time, no way will everyone be pleased one way or the other. Maybe they hate the idea of having an album they might have to polish or the style of it-who knows.

The cute thing about the wine though, is that vineyard is down the street from my parents summer house and we always serve guests the blush from there because everyone really loves it. My aunt visited from Virigina and bought a whole case! However, we're big wine people so I was wondering how everyone else felt.

I like blush so there would be no issue for me. Are there other kinds that are also good there - I WOULD definetely go with the wine if it is down the street from you - b.c then it is personal to you.

What you could consider maybe would be to get 1/3 red, 1/3 white and 1/3 blush - and maybe putting them out in a way - Most people probably WON'T care but then for those who won't drink on or the other then they have a choice?

What a wonderful idea!!!!!!

How would I work that with one per couple though? Could I have a waitress ask the guests what they would like? I don't know?

I like the idea of the wine and I think Christine's idea is great. I think people get too many knick-knack-y type things as favors (no offense to those who chose them) and wine is great to have and they will think of you when they drink it.

If you trust your guests to be honest - (sorry that didn't quite come out the way I meant)- you could put them out nicely decorated on a side table (honestly many favors take away from the beauty of the centerpieces and the tables) with a cute poem or sign asking guests to please take one a couple/family so that they can enjoy it for a special occasion of their own. This way guests should know that they should only take one - you could have a server stand nearby at the end of the night and ask them to grab just one

We did Red & White Wine at my FSIL Engagement party. If there were 6 favors on the table, we put 3 Red and 3 White. People took whichever one they liked best. Besides, it really dressed up the tables!

I vote for the wine, but agree (emphatically!) with the above poster about giving a choice in wine.

I like the wine best, I am probably giving out wine as favors for my wedding. I think blush wine is great; you can alternate blush and white or red and people can choose what they want. I don't know if I would trust some of my guests to take only one bottle per couple from one table.
