I know I don't post often, but is anyone interested in coming to my wedding? We are 20 people below our minimum. No one from my fiance's side of the family is attending and we are both pretty bummed

have you taken into account the vendor meals that you'll have to pay for?
instead of paying a discounted rate for them in addition to the minimum guarantee you promised the hall, some halls will let you include their meals as part of the guarantee ... so you don't pay for them on top of 20 people who aren't coming.
its definitely worth looking in to.
also, some halls will work with you & give you something extra for the money you are paying ... like an extra station at the cocktail hour, an upgrade you weren't planning on, etc.
talk to your hall & see if there is anything they can do to work with you.

Ahh, that stinks. We are feeling the same way right now. Our rsvp date is Wed and we didn't hit the min of 75 people yet Is the surf club upstate?

I'm sorry this is happening. I would love to come except I'm going to be slightly busy this weekend too We had the same problem. Most of FH's family is OOT and are not attending and there were lots of unexpected health issues with many of our friends and relatives so we are under our min too. I would look into what one of the PP said about using the vendors. We are doing that as well and they are also giving us another station at the cocktail hour. I hope it works out for you!

I am in the same situation as you. Only one sister from FH's side is coming and FH's children. No one else. Obviously we are not making our minimum. I got very upset in the beginning but now I think it's great. Everyone coming to our wedding will now be people that love us. Don't stress too much about your mimimum.

Im sorry. We had the same problem for our wedding. We actually invited some people last minute from work. I was unsure if that was rude to do, but they understood and they were happy to come. Maybe you could do that?

Yes, invite friends from work. Tell people to bring dates. Neighbors etc.

I would love to come! I just had my wedding at the VIP and I love the Surf Club also. What time is your wedding?
