Anyone watch MTV Battle of the Sexes tonight?

what the heck happened?? it got 75% of the way through the episode, came back from a commerical break, and the episode started all over and then at 10:30, the credits started rolling. HELLO!!! no clue who won, who got booted off!!

I am glad emily is gone - but she should have left BEFORE she completely dismantled the girls team. I wish Ruthie or Ellen called her on that!!!!

Try checking MTV in the morning, maybe they will update it by then.

i hear ya Christine!!!! ruthie and ellen should have been tougher on emily - they let her get away with booting out rachel (no big loss in my book), but then they let her bully them into voting off veronica!!! there's just something about veronica that i like - not sure what it is exactly.

edited to say: Shamma - emily is EVIL!!!! she was voting off people b/c they hooked up with her BF years before they were dating. she was super-shady!!!

Yeah, man that Razor’s Edge **** was scary, hence my inability to go across on a scooter in record time. I just have to say that. Several times I told Johnny that I wasn’t ready and he just blew the whistle anyway. I guess you just have to be ready when he says. When they explained the rules of the game to us, they kept repeating that there was no safety net under the first stretch of that platform. Yes, I see that. No safety net meant, to me, that I could fall and bust my tooth off on that platform. They also advised us to go with precaution because of how dangerous the mission was, basically advising us to go kinda slow. They said this was the most dangerous mission we’d have.

I ****ed this mission, of course. I don’t think two minutes and 40 seconds is that bad, but it’s bad. ****, I can’t get to my mailbox in less than three minutes in regular shoes on the regular ground. And it doesn’t matter anyway because Antoine’s time was first and Jamie’s time was second, so we would have lost the trip to Cancun anyway. Now the prizes are cool. I don’t want to lose now. But fine, I’m great at losing missions but not getting disqualified (with the exception of the gun game). In hindsight though, I wish I could just face fear in silence. I guess I’m just one of those people that can’t keep a poker face on when faced with death defying stunts that guarantee you nothing more than – what are we guaranteed? Where are those skis I won? You know, last year they asked me to do that Dog Eat Dog show and I said hell no even though they pay well and the prize money is cool and you don’t have to share. Since this challenge was boys against girls (I wrongly assumed there would be more brain games), and it was in Jamaica, I thought it wouldn’t be a bad exchange. This mission alone made me rethink my whole “don’t ever quit” mentality. I just can’t quit. Some people are good at it. It’s probably a good quality, but when we’re talking about being 100 feet in the air on a scooter with a medic who doesn't know what frost bite is standing by, quitting seems like eating fresh baked cookies in bed with Six Feet Under on the TV. Heart. This mission was crazy scary. But hey, I’m a “snail” that made it across. Give me my points, sir.

Emily leaves. Duh. I don’t know why it had to be continued. She said that it wasn’t her style to go up there and cry a few episodes back, but those were tears I saw. Yes, if your family needs you, that’s fine. But just say you’re leaving with your boyfriend. That’s obviously the case. But thank you Emily because next week, the prize is a car and if I could just win this car, I’d be happy because that’d mean my “appearance fee” would be more than that of just showing up, and I have had to endure the heat and being on the actual show for this long. Yeah, give me everything you got! I love cars. Then, this would all be worth it.

Tricky voiceover work this episode. I don’t have the energy or the interest in watching the episode again, but every now and again, they have a sound byte of someone talking while you’re looking at a sunset or at the back of a group of girls’ heads. I almost wish I didn’t notice that kind of stuff because the show would be so much more intriguing if I didn’t know about it, but whatever.

It was hysterical how Shane was standing by with a cigarette for when Ruthie was disqualified. Smoke much?

The mission instructions were funny. They simply said, “Wear boots and sneakers…” I was hoping one of the guys (cough Jamie cough) would be brave enough to really just wear only boots to the mission, but no one did.

Lori is in the inner circle. I repeat: Lori is in the inner circle. She and I don’t win IONs and the inner circle is somewhat foreign territory to us. So, that’s cool. If being in the inner circle amounts to more than being in the inner circle. I’d like to be in the inner circle of people who get to be guests on Oprah’s Favorite Things show.

So, **** yeah, this show is almost over! If another person comes up to me and says, “Who won the Battle of the Sexes?” and I have to say the sentence, “I can’t tell you” again, I just might fall down and die. It’s all “fun and games” until you get sued by Viacom. No thanks.

Courtesy of Antoine, you’re gay in the middle of a frat house. Could Antoine be any cuter? I just got an email from him saying “there shall be a savant mix of smooth music, quality Belgian beers, Italian red wine, French arrogance and pull-up socks in my hotel room for those interested.” Needless to say, I’m kicking it in Twan’s room. And he isn’t French. Why do we keep saying that?

Next week: Well, I just can’t wait to tell you the truth about the car mission. It’s not that cool. But from the previews I saw I’m just saying, keep it real people. Keep it real.

The lesbian one is Genesis since Emily left Gensis is still there. Um don't remember the last time the girls won--lol

I think the last competition the girls won was in Feb...LOL

According to Swags post they get an appearance fee plus the prizes I guess. I dont know how long they have been there or how they can be away from their family & friends for so long. I am guessing they dont have regular jobs.

Karen - I was not a big fan of Rachels either but when you look at the girls that were banished after her and you dont have to wonder why they girls are doing so badly. I like Veronica more now then on Road Rules b/c I dislike Emily so much and I love that Veronica gets to her.

christine - the girls have definitely made their own bed and now they're stuck in it.

i found veronica to be very wish-washy on road rules. she drove me nuts!!! she seems to have gained some confidence or something! emily just rubs me the wrong way!

I read somewhere that Gen & Shane were eliminated.

I also wonder what James would do if Emily got booted before he did? I think he would stay...LOL
