My principal did and she said it was a tough district- behavior wise and parent wise. I dont know anything else.

Re: Anyone work in South Manor SD?
I don't work there, but when I have kids they will go to that school district.
They just built a brand new high school which is am amazing facility with the latest technology.
I don't understand the comment regarding the behavior for parents and students. I'd like to know exactly what does that mean.

Thanks...heard they had brand new buildings that are state of the art...lots of openings listed in the times this weekend for the district...wondering why...we are looking at houses out that way, and would love to work closer to home, esp. with starting a family and all :)

Re: Anyone work in South Manor SD?
My cousin goes to the new high school and it is not rough at all. In fact, they are VERY strict. If you cut a class at all, you get suspended. For such a large school, they really keep tight tabs on the kids. She loves it there and she was never the kind of kid who enjoyed school. In fact, she was the type of kid to cut a lot. They have great facilities! Do a search on Newsday.com and I'm sure you can find the articles from when it was built. I think it's only two years old.

I have only heard very good things about the school district. One of the major factors for buying the house that we bought was because it is in South Manor SD.

We searched and searched and ended up going with a Townhouse in the area. I still love the area- grew up there and looking forward to going back! Have only heard good things about the SD. Good luck to you
