I worked for Major League Baseball Properties for 5 years (but a while ago), but what do you need?

Re: anyone work in the sports industry?
My major was in communications and I have a background in event planning. I was just told about something interesting in regards to doing admin work or event work for major sports teams and I am trying to get info on job openings.

Central Islip
ETA: I think DH was offered to play minor league baseball with them, but the salary was peanuts. Don't know if the whole minor league thing franchise pays that little, but it paid NOTHING.

Re: anyone work in the sports industry?
Michelle,
One of my good friends took care of this at MLB---World Series, All-Star Game parties, etc. I have to say it was a kick-*** job (I handled player appearances, trade show stuff & tixs for all the teams) and the perks were amazing, however, the pay left something to be desired.
I'd say look up all the leagues online and send resumes to the HR depts. and then look up the local teams & do the same.
Years ago I had connections at all the baseball teams.
Best of luck!!!
FM me if you have any q's.
Cindy
