I went to wedding yesterday and couldn't make it though their vows without crying. I couldn't even speak right after the ceremony because I was all choked up.
Whatever am I going to do when I have to say my vows?

Re: Anyone worried about tears?
I've already prepared myself for whatever comes. I lost my mom and I know that I'm going to be thinking about her more than ever on that day. I get teary eyed just watching the girls wedding shopping with their moms. Girls, I know some of the moms may be a pain in the butt with their 2 cents and their opinions, but just remember, it's all being done out of love and some of us wish we had that problem.

I know I am probably going to cry... I think he will too! We have been waiting for this day for SOOOO long.. and it's still so far away..
I cried when I went dress shopping with my mom, cause my Nana passed away last year, and she couldn't wait for us to get married! So I know on the big day, I'll be balling because she's not here

I DIDN'T CRY UNTIL I REACHED THE ALTAR.. THEN I BALLED THE ENTIRE WAY THROUGH THE CEREMONY.. BUT IT WAS OK, EVERYONE THOUGHT IT WAS SWEET

Re: Anyone worried about tears?
I'm going to be a quivering snotty mess I've come to terms with it. The moment I hear the processional music, I picture myself losing it - and continuing to lose it until the ceremony is over.
We've waited SO long and worked SO hard to get to this point, that it's just an emotional time for me. FH jokes that I'll explode before I actually get to him at the end of the aisle
It will be what it will be.

You are so right. I never got to know my grandparents really well (they lived overseas and passed away when I was about 11) and I always tell people to appreciate their grandparents and the history they can tell you about your family.
Are you going to do anything special to honor your mother. I was reading a post about someone doing a memorial candle (it could have been dm24angel). But basically, the one who passed away name was on the candle. I thought this was a wonderful idea.

I am going to be a MESS! I cried on my way to work just thinking about. My best cried at the gym on the precor machine thinking about the day, too!
See my FH isn't a crier. It takes him a lot to shed a tear. What happens if he doesn't cry? I'll feel like a mess!

Re: Anyone worried about tears?
I am sooooo worried that I am going to be an emotional mess! But many of friends who have gone through this said that the day of the wedding is so crazy that you don't even think about tears! Hopefully that is true for me. We'll see!

I'm getting choked up reading this. What the hell is wrong with me?
Same here! I cry all the time since I got engaged. It is sort of unpredictable too..Its almost a daily occurence at this point. I cry while watching tv, listening to music, driving my car, thinking about the wedding....reading the newspaper...reading these posts!! You get the idea! I'm so scared of the walk down the aisle. I actually fear that I'm going to pass out.

Re: Anyone worried about tears?
I have to say that I had the same concerns, I'm the biggest sap at weddings. I had no idea how I'd hold it together at my own. To be perfectly honest, there was so much adrenaline and excitement going through me that I didn't cry NEARLY as much as I thought I would the whole day! In fact the only time I teared during the ceremony was when my Dad lifted my veil and kissed me, other than that I was just so happy I couldn't stop smiling, the tears never came. I was shocked at myself!
My advice, go for the waterproof mascara just in case but don't give it too much thought you might surprise yourself too.
