Re: Anyone writting their own vows??
We are too!
Just keep a small note pad with you like NOW and just starting jotting things down as they come to. There's a bunch of vow writing guides on brides.com, real simple weddings, etc. Keep it under 20 seconds is the suggestion.
The other night I thought of something great while laying in bed. And of course I forgot it now!

We are...and for the same reason, FH is an amazing writer and public speaker. Me, on the other hand, will get some chuckles out of the crowd....or at least I hope.
The notebook idea is a good one--thanks!

We wanted to, but the church does not allow it.

Re: Anyone writting their own vows??
I am a poet, and DH was scared to write his vows, haha. We wound up writing ours together, and it came out like a script (as if we were having a natural conversation with one another). It took any pressure off because we both knew what to expect but it was still special.

We were thinking of doing it but haven't even asked our church if they allow it.

We did 'blurbs' to each other and then did traditional vows ... it was my fav part of the day. I loved doing them.
