Ive been taking these prenatals and all of a sudden my face is breaking out. I cant think of what else would cause this break out because Im not doing anything different except started taking the vitamins a month ago, was wondering if anyone else had this problem. I only have one blemish, but I just got rid of one last week, its CRAZY.

Nope I'm not having that problem. I would definently ask doctor if it's a common side effect though.

I asked around to friends and I also have another friend whose face broke out.She called her Doc and was told to just take the one a day vitamins for women for now. So I think Im going to do that..I cant take getting zits..its freaking me out!DLWDLG..are you able to control it? HELLPPPP

I have not been able to control the breakout...but I have bought another two tubes of clearasil.

OMG YES!!!! All of a sudden my face has broken out and I have no idea why!!!!! Maybe its the vitamins? I havent had pimples for like 10 years!!!!! I anticipate my skin getting bad when I go off the pill, but that wont be for another month. I have been on prenatals for about 2 months now...

I think that these prenatals affect everyone differently, unfortunately they worked against my skin..Im taking the one a day now and havent had any new zits..the one a day has the same folic acid as the prenatals..I dont know how they can cause zits, but I hadnt broken out like that in years either..and all of a sudden I felt like a teenager again,,the only thing I was doing different was taking the prenatals..so I started asking around and I have found 5 people so far who have said that they had zits from the prenatals!!! Bummer! Ill just take the one a day until I get pregnant and then see what my Dr. can recommend..I did make an appt with the dermatologist for next week, so Ill ask her what my options would be when I get pregnant and HAVE to take the vitamins..Ill let you guys know!

What prenatals were you taking? Just curious because I think thats def whats causing my skin to react. My face has also felt itchy in the spots where I am breaking out. I think I am going to wait a little while longer before seeing the doctor and monitor everything I eat, just to eliminate any other possible causes. Keep us posted on what your dr says

I was taking vitafol.OB. I stopped and havnt had another break out since. i am still going to go to the Dermatologist to check out my options and Ill let ya know what I find out. My concern is if my face breaks out just from the vitamins, what will happen when Im pregnant? Ive seen people's skin get really bad while pregnant, it scares me!
