FH took on a new job and he's training at night till September. Then he starts his rotations which will be all different hours and weekends too.
I barely see him anymore and we live together.He does call me though when he gets a break and on my break I call him....
I eat dinner alone, and watch tv alone.
Those of you who's FH works nights, what do you do on the nights hes at work and you feel lonely?
I'm not always like this. Actually I like having the place to myself. I guess tonight, I just miss him a little bit more.

My FH works nites too...and his schedule is awful even when he has scheduled days off he often has to do mandated overtime. We live together too but its still hard He has missed so many family events and we barely get to go out together....it *****! I spend alot of time home alone too, but i really value the time we spend together.

FH works all damn day long that he might as well work nights. Some times he comes home and falls asleep b/c he is so tired

I haven't seen my FH in a week he works in a city hospital and works double shifts so he just stays in there. It's not that bad because I still live home and have people around me all the time if I didn't I'd go crazy. And the wedding keeps me busy.
Hopefully it's not for much longer and after we get married I told him no more double shifts because I don't want to be home alone all night.
I look at it this way extra $$$ although I would LOVE to see him more!

I haven't seen my FH in 2 months....we live 300 miles away...So if there is anyone who knows lonely it is most certainly ME...It is frieken terrible....the best advice I can give is, just remember that it could always be worse, and cherrish the moments you have togther...I have been living alone upstate for a year now and I still have another 6 months to go....I'm counting the days

My FH does and it is REALLY hard..it def makes us look forward to the weekends (at least we have that)... I work 3 days a week so on the nites where I don't have work the next day we seriously stay up until like 6 in the morning together just so we can see eachother during the week. He goes in either 11, 12 or 1 everyday and gets out usually around 1 or 2 depending on the last flight of the night and then he has to lock up. He always drives me to work so we get to see eachother and on Mondays he goes in around 1 so he'll meet me for lunch...you'll find ways to make it work but it is DEF hard and you do miss out on a lot together because by the time he gets home, there's literally NOTHING to do.. at least you only have to deal with it for a few months.. I can't wait for FH to get another job..we've been doing this for about 4yrs...
I still live at home so I find ways to keep myself busy but its still lonely...

my fh works nights also and we don't live together soo it becomes very hard for us to see each other... plus he might be moving out the island soon (i live in queens) so we'll really never get to see each other !

well, opposite for me- I work nights :) during the week I usually get off ~2-3am-more if i get into doing surgery, but when i work weekend ER its overnights :( We dealt with me being in another state for a year for my internship so we are happy to be in the same place...its hard but doable

Well I feel your pain!
FH picked up a second job on top of his demanding business job! So I am lucky to see him for a few hours a week!
I go to the gym when he works weekday nights, come home make dinner put some aside for FH
But boy do I miss him!
He is actually off tonight yay!
Oh and he's doing this to give me the option to get any dress I want!

MY FH and I do not live together, he lives alone I am still home with my parents. He moved to my neighborhood back in october after his cousins sold their house. Must say it is easier now that he is closer but we STILL barely see each other. FH goes in at 1am and works 14 hr days, goes home to sleep and go right back again. Sooo basically we have opposite schedules. His schedule changes every week, so making plans is usually an issue.
So hard when I want to call and see how he is doing if I am at work and hes sleeping
Hopefully things get better once we live together..and since I am considering a career change. OK my rant is over....

I live in NY and FH is in Los Angeles for work...it is so lonely! Luckily I have a lot of single girlfriends to hang out with and I have my dog for company too. But it is very hard. I just try to keep busy, talk to him on the phone as much as possible, and I'm visiting him on 8/1 - we try to visit each other at least once a month.

Yes... FH works midnights in the City
Usually he leaves the house around 9:30... so I'm up for a few hours before I go to bed... it's hard especially if he works overtime... but I just try to keep busy

My FH worked nights for a while and at first it was so hard because I was used to having him home for dinner and to watch tv together. I got used to it after a while and kept busy working out, cleaning or doing other things. when he switched back to day shift i actually started to miss all the alone time i had.

My FH does work long hours too ... its a little better now but when he used to be the GM for the hotels he would have no life ... hang in there it will get better when the rotation ends and he gets steady hours

Mine works days and then works with his dads company nights with construction...
So we usually don't see eachother till the weekend which stinks.... but I am hoping he does his dads company full time and leaves this doody of a job he has now... it gets so loneley without him!
