anyone's mom just TOO involved!?

while I love my mother, and she's been great for the most part. She's a little hard to take sometimes.

She just hung up on me, whiling hysterically crying because of the dresses for my neices (they're bellringers). I thought the dresses should be something that I like, but instead, she told my SIL to just take the girls herself to get the dresses in a similiar style to some other dresses I got.

I just don't get it and when I told her I was a bit upset that she just went and said that, after I already talked to my SIL about the dresses and my SIL said ok, no problem, we'll get them when we come down to the island in April. Now all of a sudeen, that's not okay?

At this point, I just don't care. I know they're just dresses and whatever will be will be. The most important thing to me is marrying my FH. It just pisses me off a little.

Sorry you are gong through this. Its your wedding though and you should be able to pick whatever dresses YOU want for the girls. Its not like you are telling your mother what to wear

that is why I am happy my mom lives in another state!!!

My mom is the same way. She lives in another country and still manages to drive me crazy. Since she's been here, we've fought about 10 times about stupidity.

My mother started WAY too involved with my wedding, asking every single detail as well as asking to go to every single vendor. But once I found something for her to do, Plan my bridal shower, it was like a miracle!

My mom is actually prety good about everything. She just kinda goes with the flow.

But I think you should stand your ground, it is your wedding not hers!

i often have to remind myself that I am her daughter... im so used to being my own independent person, that I forget that I am her daughter...
