We witnessed a car accident yesterday. This middle aged guy in a BMW bumped the back of a woman and her daughter. The woman got out to check out the damage and get his insurance details and the guy proceeded to drive around her, sandwiching her in between the two cars and nearly taking her open car door with him, and drove off. DH ran after him, I thought it was because he was getting the license number, but he ended up knocking ont he guy's window when he was stuck at the traffic light. Of course the guy didn't open the window and made a fast left around DH.
Well, luckily the woman was okay and we helped her call the police and waited with her until the showed up. Gave our statements and our contact details in case they needed anything else. It turns out someone caught the guy around the corner, he was drunk.
After we left, DH started saying that he should've dragged the guy out of the car! I was just like Fortunately the woman was okay and I feel we did a good deed by calling the police, staying with her and giving our statements - why go out of your way to put yourself in a potentially dangerous and possibly illegal situation by carrying on an argument that wasn't yours to begin with!! The guy was in fact caught, so my question is why does DH feel the need to be the hero???

FH would've wanted to do the same exact thing. Especially now that he's a peace officer and carries a gun, he wants to 'undo all the wrong in the world, protect the weak, take care of the young, etc'. I get scared sometimes that he might actually do it because you never know what you are walking into but I'm learning to trust him to be able to read the situation.

Yes, Mr Boots has a temper... but he's also lazy about it!
he expends most of his enegry just describing how hard, or with what he'd hit someone. It's tiresome and annoying, so I just tune out and he pipes down pretty quick with an apology!
Sound like Tom!
