We are going to Eisenhower park Sat. night for the fireworks show. One of my dh's friends works for Grucci and he said it is a BIG show. I just saw there is a carnival and fireworks at the South Shore Mall in Bayshore.

I went last year - it was a good show - but we learned the best bet is to park across Merrick Rd. because you can see the show, and not have to deal w/ everyone leaving the parking lot at the same time. :)
In Glen Cover there is also a bbq cookoff / fair on Sunday.

I guess its Avenue - I always get those confused! The one that runs into hempstead tpke and the park. Sorry about that!

Last year it was over by the war memorials and they had a pops concert (i think, we didn't go to the concert) in the ampitheater - but you could see it from everywhere. I think we sat in front of the 1-800-FLOWERS building on Merrick.
