I cant not believe how $$$ anything w/ the word wedding is.............. Flowers, DJ, Photographers, etc.....Honestly its ridiculous. I mean am I the only one who feels this way especially when the economy is so bad.

I agree...For my florist, I went with a company that isn't really known for wedding flowers but I've seen their flower arrangements last for weeks. I felt like the other quotes were just so high because they were 'wedding florists.'

exactly! How come a normal updo is $50 -$75 but as soon as you say it's for your wedding, it's automatically $150 to start!??

Its so true. To me the worst are the make-up and hairstylists. Once you add 'wedding' to hairstyle the price jumps like 150-200 dollars more. These people are making out like bandits if you ask me!!

there are lots of ways you can save on your wedding tho.....you dont HAVE to go with the most expensive vendors, there are little things you can cut out and dont be afraid to NEGOTIATE!!!!!!!!! THE WORST THEY CAN SAY IS 'NO we cant do that' i negotiated with all my vendors....also if you know someone who is getting married....go together i got alot of deals cause my friend and i were planning at the same time

That could work if you dont need the stylist to come to the venue. But they also might start asking questions when you ask them to put the tiara/headcomb in. And the veil!! LOL Imagine, 'OH I wear these on a regular basis, Im not going to a wedding'

it is frustrating, there was a video that someone posted that was a spoof on the word 'wedding' when it comes attached to flowers and cake.
