anyway to keep cats from attacking X-mas gifts?

They actually dont bother the tree too much but the gifts ...forget it...they eat them apart..into the boxes and all. Due to all the wedding stuff all over the house, we have no closet space to store the gifts. Fh says wrap em and put them under the tree...this has not been a successful approach in the past.

I dont think theres a solution, but thought I'd ask...

Because of our kitty .. I can never use ribbons & bows .. and we try not to put any gifts out before Christmas morning .. it's just hubby & me .. so there isn't much .. and anything we get from others .. we put it away right away.

If you're out of closet space .. is there an option to keep 1 room closed off with the gifts inside .. just to get you through the holidays??
