apartment complexes in nassau

does anyone know of any nice apts in nassau. my fiance and i have seen a bunch of nice new developments in suffolk but they are all too far out. any advice??

I live in Great Neck and there are TONS of beautiful apartment complexes. And the LIRR line (Port Washington line) is the best if you commute to the city.

Leelee we live in Great Neck too! Since I moved in we are able to do away with husbands car b/c he walks to the train and works in NYC.

There are many buildings with apartments for rent or to buy and Great Neck is a wonderful community with plenty to see and do.

If you don't mind me asking, where do you guys live in Great Neck? My FI and I just bought a co-op there...we love it. He commutes to the city via the LIRR also. There are a bunch of nice rentals around...but we chose to buy.

This is funny! We live in Great Neck Plaza right across from the Atria Assisted Living building--also so close to Waldbaums!
It really is a beautiful and safe place to live. The best thing to us is that it's so close to the city and so close to Shea Stadium--as we're die hard Met fans.

My husband bought the co-op almost 3 years ago. I have been there all along but didn't officially live with him until after the wedding. I teach in GN too so I am looking forward to the short commute.

We live in a building two blocks south of the train station. Where did you buy?

I'm totally up for that!!
We did the same as you--my FH got rid of his car since he walks to the train. It's so much cheaper this way!

We bought the co-op almost 3 years ago. The prices have skyrocketed since then b/c our co-op is now worth double what we payed. Just amazing!

We used S. Goodstein in Great Neck. I think they are on Bond Street. You can find things on your own by looking in the paper. I think someone in our building is actually trying to sell her co-op privately first rather than through a real estate.
