Apartment dilemna - need opinions
FH and I went looking at apartments this weekend and we found 2 complexes that we like which are available for the date we need. Here is our problem we can't decide which one we like better. Both are 2nd floor units and are at the end so we have extra windows in our bedroom.
Here are the differences of the two.
Apt A - Closer to work
Closer to parkway
Bathroom is slightly bigger
Has Central Air
Laundry facility is located in building
Apt B - One bedroom is bigger by 5 feet
Has 2 more extra closets than A
Cheaper per month by approx - $ 50.00
We do not share a common hallway with other residents.
Has rugs - Apt A we need to put area rugs in.
We really like both of them and I think the thing that is making us lean towards A over B is the location. Which would you chose? I know it is all personal preference but we need some opinions. Thanks!

I agree with Jenn...A sounds better. But look at each positives more than the negatives, and go from there. Good luck on your decision, and let us know

Re: Apartment dilemna - need opinions
For me the laundry facility in the building is worth the additional rent. I hate the laundry mat! I would give up the $50.00, extra space and closet space for the laundry, park and commute. The big draw back for me on A would be the lack of OSE. I loved having a garden apartment where I could keep my front door open and get a breeze through the the screen door. But of course its a personal choice.

Re: Apartment dilemna - need opinions
Thanks for all your opinions. I just wanted to clarify that although the laundry facilities are not in the building in B they are still on the premise - just accross the way.
Keep your answers coming!

Cheaper, more closets and has rugs = better choice IMO.I would NEVER invest in rugs for a place I didn't own.

Re: Apartment dilemna - need opinions Update!
Update: I just found out that with Apt A the laundry is not in the building it is also accross the street. Ugh! This is so annoying. I am not using that as my basis but it was a nice feature. Thanks again for all your opinions...if you have more input feel free to post.

Re: Apartment dilemna - need opinions Update!
I would take A because of the laundry situation. You don't have to get wall to wall if you don't want it..area rugs would probably suffice!I would give ANYTHING for a laundry!!!!

I'm with Michele31 on this one...Cheaper, more closets and has rugs = better choice IMO.
How much farther from the parkways is apt B?

Re: Apartment dilemna - need opinions
To answer your ?Apt B is less than 10 minutes away from Apt A so to me that doesn't make much of a difference.
Thanks for all your opinions. We are still trying to figure out what to do.
Do any of you have experience as far as electric bills and central air vs wall units?
