Re: Apartment hunting has started

Are you guys looking to rent or buy? I'm in Floral Park now, in a co-op and love it. Actually am looking into a bigger place (to buy). There are rental apartments right across from where I am now on Tulip Avenue. It's a great area. We love it there and are willing to spend a bit more for a place just to be able to stay there. It is a great community.

Re: Apartment hunting has started

i grew up in FP!!! My parents have a house there for almost 24 years! There are a lot of houses for sale and you can find an apartment no problem. Look online and DEF look through the Newspaper. Try to say on the Nassau side (south of Hillside). North of Hillside the houses are nice and apartments are nice but REALLY crowded! And you DEF want to be able to use the park and the pool!

Thanks. I def gotta check out the newspapers I guess.
We're pretty familiar with all the area's we're looking in. I grew up in V.S., went to HS in Elmont, worked in W. Hempstead, and have family in Rockville Centre and FH lives in fp now.

FH works in Lynbrook and his parents live in Hewlett so he drives around that area (including VS and RVC) all day. I'll tell him to keep his eyes out for any 'for rent' signs!

have you considered hewlett at all? i think its within the hewlett limits that there are some really nice looking well-maintained rental buildings. its really close to FH's work on the way to his parents so not sure if it counts as lynbrook, VS or hewlett because i'm not so good with where one town ends and the next begins...

ANYWAYS my point is i can find out the name of the rental buildings if you'd like?

Re: Apartment hunting has started

Hey you're MORE than welcome to take our apartment, we're looking to get out of here as soon as possible. I'm sure my FMIL would be a fine landlord to people other than me and FH! We're in franklin square off tulip close to croxleys north of turnpike. if you want it now i'll move out today.

Just be careful with VS, Lynbrook or RVC. If you get an apartment in a house, make sure you have driveway access because you can't park on the street overnight there.
