Apartment hunting -PLease share

Well I started a thread on the home board about apartment hunting....please post any vents or experiences u had or are having...just so I dont feel that I am alone!!!! POST ON HOME

Are you looking at apartments in people's homes or in complexes?

both.
but we are kinda limited we want to be in either Massapequa, levittown, farmingdale or bethpage

I ask because we live in a complex and everything was very neat and clean when we came to look at apartments and very clean when we moved in. I don't think I could live in someone's house. Most of the apartments in people's homes that I've seen have been pretty nasty! There's nothign really regulating them.

Here's my piece of advice though, do NOT move into a Fairfield complex. They S-UCK!

Try your hardest to NOT move into a first floor apt, especially if there are kids upstairs. It's HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! You hear everything.
