Apartment Search...??

So my FH an d I went to look at an apartment last week and the apartment was really cute! It was more convenient than cute but everything in the apartment was brand new and it’s really close to my parents house (which means I am close to my younger sister). Anyway, the apartment is $1400/mth… The super was kind of acting a little weird like my FH and I didn’t have jobs or had bad credit… whatever.. When the credit report and employment/salary verification went through and we were “acceptable” to live there the real estate agent tells me that the apartment is now $1500!!!! Anyway.. long story short my FH and I discussed it and decided not to be hasty about moving before the wedding which is 8-31-07 so that we can find something really nice. I looked online and all the websites basically list the same few apartments in Nassau county. Today I am going to drive around and write down numbers and just start calling some of the apartments I pass all the time… Does anyone know of any good websites or real estate agents? I’ve been to move.com, apartments.com, rent.com, craigslist… Also, what is the deal with ALLSPACES.com is it legit?

FH's aunt and uncle own a coldwell banker in nassau and they list apartments :) they showed us tons, and we rented! They are soo sweet and if you would like to try and use them, I can get you their info!
