Are you looking to buy/rent?

When we rented in Astoria, we found it through Craigslist. It was a pain in the butt because there's so many fake posts (the too good to be true kind), but we were able to find one that was w/ a broker but no broker fee.

If you're looking to buy I have an amazing realtor I can refer you to.

Might sound weird but overstock.com has a real estate section!

http://realestate.overstock.com/

Also look at http://www.mlsli.com

I bought in Queens and honestly the best thing to do is see a real estate agent. They will find you quality listings that people don't always post in public arenas.

GOOD LUCK!

I found my apartment because the people that bought the house next door to my parents and I were renting out the whole thing so I asked since I grew up in the neighborhood if we could have the basement my FH and I.

What are you looking for? I'm vacating my 2 bedroom in Bayside in February. It's top floor of a 6 story building. Not sure if they're looking to rent it again or sell but it's a great neighborhood, easy access to Manhattan and 15 min to everywhere.

Otherwise I'd say Craigs List, realtor or word of mouth
