Apartment search frustration

I am having the worst trouble looking for an apartment. either the ones i find are too much money or it is in someone's house. Does anyone have any advice on how to find an apartment (not in someone's house) in long island? I have been serching for almost 4 months now and brokers are no help

Hey desyre, i'm sorry you are having so much trouble but don't give up. lookking for my apartment was also frustrating. i wish i could give you better places to look for one. FM me and i will try to help you. I'm already married but decided to come on and see what the site was all about

YOu could try apartment complexes-call them directly. Look into Fairhaven Apartments. They have places all over Long Island.

I would try any of the fairfield properties. They have new townhouse ones in Setauket, Port Jeff and Farmingville. Absolutely beautiful. They also have a few by the train station in Babylon.

Avolon apartments in Smithtown and Melville are really nice too.

Don't and I repeat Don't look at Southpoint in Massapequa. I live there and they are absolutely turning into a dump. I can't wait to get out of here.

Try looking at apartments.com and rent.net. They have good complex listings. Good luck!!! : )

Try Brookwood Apartments, they have several locations on LI. I live in their garden apartments in Coram & love it!!! It is also one of the most affordable I have seen!

I would like to move east but my FH is a NYPD officer and works in brooklyn and will not travel that far . So i'm forced to find something in nassau county. All apartments over here (nassau) are just so expensive. Thanx for all the suggestions, I really need it.
