oh geez louise-- i don't even know what happened, the last i saw-- everything was fine and everyone was just like ok, stop now-- i guess it got worse from there i didn't think that needed to happen, i thought we came to a pretty decent conclusion (everyone has different views and that's fine, no one should ever call someone a specific name for the fact that they feel how they do--it's mean and that wedding talk should stick to wedding takl)... I thought everything was good from that point on.

liza: i'm sorry if it didn't stay that way it's ok-- you feel strongly about how you feel and even though i might disagree or feel differently-- i can't blame you, you can't help your feelings and i believe you when you say that you didn't mean to make trouble-- maybe just know for the future and everything will be OK. take care

ETA: and i never felt that what you wrote was offensive or purposely said to hurt someone-- just so you know, i don't want you to think i feel 'disrespected' by what you wrote or anything- i totally respect your views, even if they are different from mine: i'm good like that

Liza- I didn't see the post either, but from what I know from your other posts, you never mean harm. I'm sorry if you had to deal with drama today- don't let it get to you! You've always been so sweet, friendly, and helpful here - stay that way!

Let's all stay civilized. I know a lot of people would not act that way if they were actually facing the person they are 'talking' to on the internet.

My grandma always told me 'do 7 circles with your tongue inside your mouth before talking'. Trust me... it works. After you do it 7 times, you are 'calmed down' a bit and you may not want to say what you originally thought.

I know I feel bad - Liza was trying so hard to be taken seriously and I had to step in and fix THAT situation.... So the lesbian thing was because Sophie (the Frensh one) and I went to Liza's wedding as 'dates' and we slow danced together to the good luck dance and everyone thought we were lesbians.

Liza, I'm sorry that people have been insensative and sirespectful toward you recently. I love seeing your posts on the board because you always give great insight.

I'm not sure why things have been getting out of hand recently, but I hope things go back to normal soon. These are supposed to be happy times for all of us.

Thanks for apologizing... assuming it was for originally posting the topic to begin with. I still think that kind of topic doesn't belong on this board. I like this to be a safe haven from everything else going on in this world and this is the second or third time that politics has tainted that, especially when some people get mean and disrespectful for others having a differing viewpoint.

But, on the other hand, you were initially just voicing your fears for the world. You weren't the one who made it turn ugly by alienating people who had differing political views. So, you can't apologize for that because it wasn't your fault.

Thanks for doing something about that other thread... I'm glad it's gone. I hope this board remains one on which we can post about all things wedding - and nothing but weddings (with the exception of a few light hearted things!).

I was MIA after about 4:30, so I don't know what it all turned into, but I'm glad it's gone none-the-less.

i have to say that i read your original post, i took it as a post written out of concern for all the crazy things happening in our world right now, of course some people take things to another level that was never your intent, i actually stopped reading it half way through because it was so ridiculous after a while

i don't know you but i think you are very funny from previous things you have posted, but you are also very kind and classy for now posting this thread, you shouldn't even have to apologize yet i understand why you would,
