Re: Appetizers???
Spinach Dip in a Bread Bowl.... no oven and really yummy! The recipe is on the back of the box of lipton soup mix, I think it's summer vegetable, or just vegetable...one of the yellow and green boxes, by lipton in the soup aisle...it's sooo good, really easy to make!
If you are ok with using the oven for just a few minutes then:
scallops wrapped in bacon, or water chestnuts wrapped in bacon, same recipe for both.... 1. take bacon out of packege and make 3 slices accross the strips (against the grain, cutting all at the same time), cutting each slice of bacon into a third. 2. roll the third of a piece of bacon around either a scallop or water chestnut, and secure with a toothpick, bacon should just wrap around, not really over-lap too much. 3. Marinade the wrapped treats for a few hours or even overnight in soy sauce(in the fridge or an airtight container), 4. lay out on cookie sheet, and bake in over for about 15-20 minutes at 350....then serve hot!!! SOOO GOOD!!!!!
