Where can I take my Kindergarteners apple picking? I'm looking for somewhere in Nassau County or Suffolk County close to Nassau border. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Re: Apple Picking on Long Island?
I don't think there are any apple orchards in our area. If you want to go Pumpkin 'picking' you can go to Green Meadows farm in Fresh Meadows, Queens. They run a nice program for the little ones ... sort of like a game farm. And they can take a hay ride & milk a cow! Its a very cute place. When they're done, they can pick a baby pumpkin from the 'field' to take home. I've been there & our Kindergarten & first grade teachers go every year. The kids love it.
