can you bring it back to the jeweler that FH bought it from? thats what we did--- FYI- if your doing it to insure it, a bill of sale will do the trick as well

It's actually FH's great grandmother's ring. His grandparents had it appraised for me before we got engaged and insured it for us for the first year. We are now trying to obtain our own insurance and they will not accept the appraisal in his grandparents name it needs to be in our own. We can't even bring it back to that jeweler because his grandparents live in Maryland.

there's a place in RXR plaza (the two round glass buildings across the street from the nassau coliseum). the lady there was very nice.
