I was going to do the same thing but people really wait to the last day to mail these bad boys back...and trust me waiting for the reply's is also very stressful. I just really cannot understand what takes so long either they if they are coming or not whats the problem its not like no one knew about the wedding...boy I have been engaged for 2 years now. Sorry I am just very stressed out

It really is amazing how there is so much to do at the end. I just spoke to Flowerfields earlier..to set up our final apointment (tasting is 2/23) and now i have really begun to stress out about things. I just recently finalized the Honeymoon (tahiti) and limos. Still not sure of Flowers..decided on florist but not sure what i want yet! Still need to do programs, rehearsal, favors (scrolls for donation), placecards (votive candles), gifts..etc. Hopefully they will call the end of the week with the envelopes so i can get the invites out!

Have you guys had your shower yet...i have a feeling mine is soon

No shower yet, but I'm suspicious of an upcoming B-day party that is scheduled.

I'm not sure what colors of flowers I want. I know the florist (Flower Michele) and type (roses) but I keep changing my mind with the colors.

Don't worry Nancy I can totally appreciate being very stressed out right now!

I have A LOT to do all of a sudden too! My shower was Satuday - my MOH is going away for two weeks the end of this month and they wanted to do it before! It was HARD to surprise me - just like it will be any of you I imagine! Of course EVERYTHING you go to on a weekend afternoon in the next few months will be suspicious, right?!

I had a GREAT time at mine!! I know you are all going to love yours! OF COURSE - keep us posted!

I was thinking about my shower also....I have no clue of when it will be. I haven't had any out of the ordinary invites to anything.... I usually can pick up a vibe or something from my sister, but she hasn't done anything to make me think it's coming up. I hope she doesn't forget...LOL She would never!!!

Why does it take people so long to check yes or no!!! I hate waiting! I want the final list now :0)..I had my shower waaay back in Novemeber..it was great and I was totally surprised since it was so early! Anyone starting to get stressed now??? I am...and to top everything off I am in a wedding in July and they are having the shower 2 weeks before my wedding! UGHH..I am going to loose a whole day now. Oh well..nothing I can do about it (but i can b*tch!)

I got my mom a music box from San Fran Music Box Co. and it plays Canon in D (the song we are walking down the aisle too) if anyone wants more parents gift ideas!

Re: April '03 Brides

Hi ladies,
It sounds like all the April brides are doing well. My mission is to complete the invitations and mail them this weekend. But my birthday is this weekend, so it may not get done. But, it is my goal. I have a lot left to do, and I have a lot going on this month.
I just had my shower,
I have my first fitting in two weeks,
I have to make my final floral selections
engrave groomsmen gifts
wrap BP gifts
figure out a rehearsal dinner
decide on limos or not!!!
meet with officiant
select music for dj
I really cant believe we are all close to the two month mark. It is incredible. I have been engaged for over a year, time really flies. Enjoy the rest of the planning ladies. Please stay in contact. As our big day gets closer I am getting more anxious. Talking to you ladies truly helps. Best of luck!

PS-J&A we are going to the grande st. lucian for sure now! whew

Re: April '03 Brides

4/26 brides that are going on a cruise for their Honeymoon, when are your ships departing.....we'd like to go on a cruise, but most ships that I've seen leave on 4/26, and there's no way I can make that. My only option seems to be to wait a week and go the following Saturday.

Lobsterbride:

We're crusing to the Southern Carribean (St. Thomas, St. Maarten, St. John, St. Lucia. Barbados)

We leave 4/27 from San Juan on Royal Caribbean.

I wish I was on a cruise with you ladies. My agent says they sit all the newlyweds together and you get a cake and a toast from the captain. It would be great if we were all together. Do we share any ports together?

Re: April '03 Brides

My plans are coming along but because of a family illness I've been falling behind. I know about my shower and it is 2/23. More people than we thought responded yes!!! Here is what I have left to do (it sounds worse than it is, I hope!):
send BM dresses out of state
Reserve gardens for photos
Do tasting
Print up menus and table #s
? Programs
Place cards
Pick readers, songs, and singer
Finalize with Uncle about bag piping
GM gifts
wedding hankies; make card to say parent albums as gifts
Tuxedos
Garter
hotel and bathroom baskets
kids activities for reception
bridal emergency kit
Rent birdcage
rehearsal dinner
Finalize with almost everyone!

Re: April '03 Brides

We're leaving April 27th to Western Carribbean - I think our stops are Labadee, Hispaniola; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Grand Cayman and Cozumel, Mexico. Oh it's also Royal Carribbean. I would keep looking there are a lot of cruises that leave on Sunday!

They sit newlyweds together? Our TA didn't say that!
