We want to take pictures on the beach, but since April weather is crazy we might book Old Westbury Gardens. What are you doing?

we were planning on going to the duck pond in Roslyn (i don't know the name, that's how our photographer refered to it) as long as it's not raining - old westbury gardens, is beautiful, i've heard, but it's not in our budget. if it does rain - maybe just go to the hall eary and take pics there - not sure yet.

I have NO idea but, I am stressing about this one.. I guess we would go back to my home and take indoor pics there if it rains.. If it's nice there is a place in Oakdale on the way to the catering hall ( forgot the name) that our photographer told us about.

I love Old Westbury Gardens but I am not sure how much will really be in bloom in April
I went last summer and most of the flowers looked awful. I haven't been back since. You could try a public park with a lake, maybe a public arboretum. Planting Fields Arboretum is a state park so the fee may be alot less.

April302005 are you talking about the Arboretum in Oakdale because that palce is beautiful. We took pics there for my friends wedding. I am stressing also. I am stressing more about the time factor. Our ceremony is at 5 in farmingdale and reception is at 8 in wading river, which is like 45min away without traffic, but we are talking about a friday. I am worried about traffic big time. I want to take pics at the arboretum but FH says we will never have time so now I am looking for a place closer to the reception. Any suggestions?

I've never been to either the gardens or the aboretum, but shouldn't tulips be in bloom by that point? One of those places should have them and they'd looks gorgeous in pictures

I'd probably be taking pictures at the place where I'm getting married. The grounds are beautiful. I just hope and praying for a beautiful sunny day.
