April Brides

Are you planning on having an outdoor ceremony, or cocktail hour? Or do you all consider april to be a 'colder' month? Just curious, also why did you all pick april? I picked it because I am a teacher with limited time off. FH said NO to a summer wedding! LOL...

I'm getting married April 26.. actually we wanted to get married the end of May, but turned out to be WAY too expensive.. they actually gave us an AMAZING deal because they had given us the wrong price for May... so they said we could have the last weekend in April on a Sat for the price of a Fri or Sun can't remember, and our minimum would be lower as well.. so we said WHY NOT! And last April 26 was BEAUTIFUL... very warm and gorgeous out, so we are praying for the same!!! We didn't do an outdoor ceremony because if it rained, it just would NOT be the same... so we took the safe route and are getting married in church... but if it's nice out, our cocktail hour will be indoor/outdoor!

We were married April 28, 2001 and it was in the mid 60's and blustery. When we started looking at reception sites the year before, it was in the 90's on May 5th, and I think it was just as warnm last year that first week of May, so the weather could be quite warm or spring-like. It's hard to know for sure.
