Where are you going to take your pictures. I am in the beginning of April and this year I noticed that all the trees and flowers are still dead. That will not look nice in ictures. It will probably be too cold to go on the boardwalk.
My RH is okay but I would like nice outdoor shots, if it is not raining. The ceremony is in Rockville Centre and the RH is at Russo's in Howard Beach. We will not have much time to go to out of the way.
Any ideas?

I looked everywhere the weekend closest to my wedding day... I'm in suffolk so my locations wont really help you but what i can recommend is an arboretum, (I'm planning on going to the Bay yard cutting arboretum in oakdale) or a park like that... at first I didnt want to go there because they charge money, but i realized it is soooo worth it!!! I dont know of any in your area but i'm sure there are! Also ask your photograper!!!!

I am getting married in April too. I went to look at my catering hall this year (a few days off) to see what would be blooming. The trees are still a little bare but they did plant tons of flowers.If you remember it got really warm in December or January this year and then really freakishly cold in April. I'm sure next year will be different...you can never tell...If it gets warm like even 2 weeks earlier next year than it did this year...things may bloom a little earlier.
I definately recommend asking your photographer...they should have ideas...I would be very surprised if they didn't.

I'm getting married the day after you!! I thought the same thing about the trees, but I think this year was an off year in terms of weather (at least that is what everyone keeps telling me!!). There are places inside and outside my RH for pictures, but I am not going to drive out of my way to a location for photos. If it's nice I'm going to the boardwalk in Long Beach. Otherwise I'll just go straight to RH. I know my photographer will make my pictures look beautiful regardless of the weather and greenery.

hmmm that's a tough one...my grounds are pretty lush so even if its not totally floral its still will be pretty green. You can always opt for Long Beach...its going to be a little chilly but it will photograph beautifully and its FREE!!! otherwise, I don't know logistics but maybe Queens Botanical Garden?
