We are/were back and forth about it. We are kind of set on having one. We got a really good price at the Westbury manor. We are doing 40 people and it would be like 2400.

I was thinking about saving money and doing it at our house but since the in laws are from florida it has to be the day before the wedding and I am not having 40 people at my house the day prior to the wedding

Re: april/ early may brides

I am getting married on a Friday so a lunch thursday kind of makes the girls take off thursday instead of the option. Like as of now we are getting nails done who ever CAN take off. If i did lunch i would feel bad. My other option is doing a lunch or something with just the wedding party the saturday prior. It would cheaper since it wont include the parents and the people doing the readings and we could either just do lunch or take them out to wear we met??? I would have to make sure it was ok w/ FH that his sister and brother in law wouldnt be there. Then we could give the parents gifts that morning and the readers gifts too.

I have no clue we have about 25-30 (including SOs, no OOT guests) and we still think the bill will be 400-500. I have been brainstorming on anyones house we can use to save money and order pizza and some drinks

You will love our idea then. This will help you out, we are having a meet and greet at our hotel where we blocked rooms. they are giving us the conference room for free!!!!!!! We will be getting food from costco for guests to munch on and there is a projection screen in there, so FH will be making movies of us to play. they are giving us the room for 3 hours so we can give the wedding party their presents there. Oh, Alcohol is not alowed in the conference room so that will save you money too.

If you do it the week before on a saturday you can do lunch and lunch menues are always cheaper than dinner. Try to cut as many people out as you can.
