because FH finally proposed!!! That's right ladies...I have my ring and he did such a good job!

I never suspected a thing....he was so nonchalant the whole night, asking me what I wanted to do to make me think he didn't have a plan, but then guiding me right to where he needed me to be.

We went to have pizza at Grimaldis (after he reminded me that pizza was our first date on 12/17/1994!!!) and then we just 'stopped by' Haagen-Dazs to get some ice cream (we met working there!)

Know that if he put the ring INSIDE my ice cream, I probably would have eaten it, instead he gave me a second cup (which I thought was sprinkles) and he had the ring on tissues inside!!!

It was perfect. I can't believe after everything he still managed to surprise me. That was the LAST thing I expected on April Fools Day!

We're eloping in June and going to pick out bands tonight but yet my still sits in the box in the cabinet next to me... Man is he slow I hope he steps it up before June 2nd

thanks Ladies...I knew I would be in the minority, but I never wanted a diamond. the first ring I ever fell in love with was the 'Victoria' ring from Tiffany...the center stone was an aquamarine....

I did A LOT of research on colored stones after that, and thought a sapphire would be better because it is a 9 on the hardness scale ( diamonds being a 10)...I loved the color of the Ceylon...it is lighter than most sapphires you see.....I just LOVE it...I am so happy!!!!

ETA: In my research I also learned that sapphires are actual rarer than diamonds.... that damned DeBeers!!!
