Arcadia Floral

Anyone using these guys?

We only have 2 florist choices and they are one of them.

For some reason, I don't feel very comfortable with them.

If you did use them, who did you work with?

My sister got married at Glen Island Harbor Club and used them. Her pics are in my album. Her flowers were AMAZING!!! EVERYONE commented on them. They were very reliable, my sis even made some changes and they were very accommodating. I hope you find a florist that is right for you but I do know that my sis and her husband were sooo excited about them. i was even thinking of using them except we are getting married in Brooklyn. Good Luck

I went there and met with Jen. I felt comfortable with her and would recommend her. I have heard many great things about Arcadia and only a handful of negative things, but overall good. I heard that they do alot of weddings in a weekend so I would check that out.

Ultimately, I went with Westchester Floral (they broke off from Arcadia) because I got better prices from them. But, I was going to go with Arcadia had I not found WF.

I just met with Jen and I absolutely love her! She was very welcoming and really seems to know a lot about design. I really feel confident that my flowers will come out really well. Jen takes a lot of direction as well as gives a lot of input where it's needed so you can't really beat that. I am going to meet with Diana Gould this week so I will let you know what I think of them.

I wasn't thrilled about having to use the house florists either, but Arcadia might be the route I'm going. I've heard that Diana Gould is more expensive and less attentive.. but we'll see

What did you think of Diana Gould?

Honestly I am not very happy with the two florist choices that Glen Island provides.

I think the designer at Diana Gould would probably be better but her personality was quite annoying and they quoted us 3x what Arcadia quoted us.

A friend of mine got married at GIHC in October, and used Arcadia...their work was STUNNING...and they were on time and had everything she asked for.

If you want to see pics, FM me.

Well I'm sorry to hear your experiences with both weren't that great. I am going to try to get in touch with Diana Gould to see if they can have someone meet with my fiancee and I in the city sometime. I hope it goes well. I've already been quoted at $4000 for what I want... if they charge double or triple that then we definitely can't go with them. i never realized flowers were this expensive!

I have heard excellent things about them...I am considering using them as well. Everyone that I have spoken to who has used them for their wedding has been very happy.

Also, fyi for anyone who agrees with me that flowers are CRAZY expensive, my friend used a wholesaler for her flowers and they came out beautiful and were VERY inexpensive. Only issue is that you need to know exactly what you want, be very specific and provide pics, and maybe the vases/candles, whatever you want to go with it. I called a wholesaler today and they quoted me $15/centerpiece no matter what it looks like or what kind of flowers.... think about it...
