Though both are costly you won't regret having to use them. They are totally well-known in Westchester.

Diana Gould has a reputation beyond all others in Westchester for professionalism and elegance. You will never get less than you paid for and in fact on the day of your wedding it might likely turn out you got more. I did not go with her but had some incredible samples made and was blown away (I was just a little more blown away by the floral designer I went with ultimately). Diana worked with me personally and I loved everything about that experience. Several of my friends used her for their weddings and no one has ever been anything but blown out of the water. You can come in the day before the wedding to see your boks and they show you how to properly hold it!!!

I made an appointment with Arcadia but didn't keep it as I heard some negative things from mother's of my friends (although beautiful, the color of roses weren't what was expected - peaches instead of pinks etc) but on here I have only heard good things. Since I don't have experience with them personally I cannot vouch.

Either way though I think you will be happy, although maybe a bit broke as they are both high end florists.

Thank you soooo much for your help!!! I am so behind! I am allowed to have the Boo k's from another vendor so I think I'm just gonna get centerpieces and some flowers for the ceremony room.
Thanks again you helped a lot!!!

I've seen Arcadia's work its pretty....especially the centerpieces...the bouquets not so much. I've never seen anything from Diana Gould though.

Thank you!!! I think I'm just gonna get someone local for the bouquets. The centerpieces are very simple so I'm hoping it won't be that expensive.

in addition to seeing both arcadia and DG, i went to 6 other florists outside of these 2 for personal bouquets. when added altogether, Arcadias price was comprable if not less than using 2 vendors. So i went with them to save the trouble. DG was great but almost double the cost of Arcadia. We were able to see a sample before we booked and we were satisfied.

So you can get an idea of what DG is all about, here is a bouquet and centerpiece Diana Gould did for my friend's wedding who loves purple. I love the bok's she makes as they are front facing, so it just looks like a round pom pom when you are walking down the aisle - love that!!:

Here is the sample she made for me - mind you she warned me b/c it was January the flowers were not nearly as beautiful as they would be on my wedding day, had I decided to go with her:

You might ask why didn't I choose to go with her. Well mainly because I found another floral designer (who had apparently been trained by her) who was a little more modern (less classically elegant) and that was more the vision I had for my wedding. Let's hope I made a good choice!!

I am just starting to look at Vendors for my wedding. We don't have to choose one from the venue. I've heard such good things about Arcadia....but how much does a center peice like the sample one she made for you run. I'm trying to stay on a $3k budget if possible?

If you give Arcaid this cost, they can probably work with you on what you can obtain. I am paying a little bit more than that but I have 26 tables. My Centerpieces are medium height though.

Thanks!! I should have around 15 tables depending on the number of RSVP's.

Re: Arcadia Florist or Diana Gould?

I just had my wedding done by Diana Gould. Robert was the point person. Said he'd be on site at my wedding in case of any problems. The day of the wedding, the bouquets were delivered 45 minutes before the ceremony. My (bridal) bouquet was NOTHING like we had discussed. We went over the flowers to be used, the colors to be used- I even made a note of them in the program. I PAID for them. He completely changed everything and then was nowhere to be found. He messed up my bridal bouqet, the best mand boutineer (changed colors on that so the tie he wore didnt match the flower anymore!), the candles to be used in the reception area- at the brides table 3 out of 5 werent even lit. And I provided vases for the cocktail hr, seating card table- etc- well the day of- they were no where to be found and neither robert nor diana gould is responding to emails. How unprofessional! How can they just change what was in their propsal, in our emails and conversation? My whole vision...and only silence as a response. Well, I guess they got the $$$(a LOT of it) out of me- why respond???

I also saw Diana Gould's advertisement in the fountainhead and surf clubs booklet. I have heard she is the best in Westchester, and am considering going to see her closer to my wedding. Try is out her website is amazing!
