My FI flipps out if I take mine off. Plus I would feel so naked without it and worring that it might get stolen while we were away. So, assuming we actually book a honeymoon, I will definately have mine with me.

$82.50 a month Jenn?!?!?!?!?! Chubb says mine will cost $236 for a YEAR based on our zip code...or maybe yours is appraised much, much higher than mine! Yikes!

$82.50 a month sounds like a lot, I pay $200/year for mine, and its a pretty good size ring. I use State Farm, have a personal articles policy on the ring.

Jenn, that does sound like alot....
My ring is a pretty sizeable carat weight and very good quality and I only pay about $250 per year...

You sure you are getting a good deal?

I am taking mine with me also. I pay about $250 a year to insure my ring with Chubbs.

I have my ering on my renters insurance, plus my ring appraised for ALOT so this makes all the difference in insurance cost, but to me it's worth it all, but again, I'd rather have MY ring than any money or any other ring we can buy.
I use Allstate and this was the best price I got , and now that I have to add my wedding band, shoot me, lol.

I'm not wearing mine, and it is insured. To me, it has so much sentimental value, that even if I got the amount of money it was appraised for, which is a lot, and substantially more than FH paid, I would be devistated. I bought a ring that looks just like mine in white gold with CZ, and I wear it whenever I'm going someplace where I feel like I might lose my ring. There was a girl on UW last year, who lost her ring, which I think cost about $30K, on the beach on her honeymoon. I don't know, I guess I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I feel so lost when I am not wearing it. I don't think I could last 2 weeks without it.

Heck yeah..you only live once...don't keep your ring in a box! It's like the same old thing where people have sofas in their home you are not allowed to sit on! Life is too short to worry about things that will probably never happen (like losing your ring) JMO!

I didn't take my engagement ring on my honeymoon, but I did wear my wedding band which has smaller diamonds. Costa Rica is such a poor country that I didn't want to be flaunting the stone and asking for trouble. We were in some pretty remote areas - that didn't have the security of big resorts.

I think it all depends on where you're going. I've taken it on every other vacation.

At first I didn't wanna take mines, but a good point was made that life's too short, altho I would be heartbroken if I lost it that is why we pay insurance. I'll just wear it e-ring/diamond band night, got a plain band for this reason.

I use allstate & pay about $155/yr to insure my ring, a rider to the apt. insurance.

im taking my ring... I pay $130 a year so that i dont worry about losing it
