Are any of you doing a tasting with your venue?
Harbor Club doesn't do tastings but when you sign your contract, you get a gift certificate to Prime... We've done that and it's always amazing. :)

Yes, we will be doing a tasting closer to the wedding date to help us select our menu.

Same! And we have also gone to two showcases there to taste whatever food they are serving that night.

I'm italian so I absolutely had to try the food before signing the contract. We did dinner at Volpe (Fox Hollow's restaurant) the night we went back for our second look. It was good (but overpriced IMO), so I was happy we had the 50% discount.

We are doing the same. I've ate at my place before so I know the food is good but it'll just be good to do it to help pick our menu

It was a requirement for both of us to have the tasting before signing over thousands and thousands of dollars. We were able to bring our parents and we ate and then signed away

We will be doing a tasting about 3/4 months before the wedding date to help us select our menu. My venue lets us bring our parents as well. I'm really looking forward to it.
