We are using Disney, but they have the option of calling into an 800 number or booking online with a reference code. Any hotel should have this option.

You mean someone who can set up hotel, airline, transfer options? You can post on the honeymoon board for suggestions on TA's to your destination.

I'm working with someone from destinationweddings.com for my travel and will pass the information on to my guests. So far, they have been okay but then agian prices haven't come out yet for 2009. I don't feel that they are a full service travel agent and can put together a destination wedding but she does seem to be a good travel agent. We'll see. I do feel it's easier and safer to book all of our travel through a central source in case there are any problems, such as flight cancellations or hotel overbooking. Then we have someone to go to that will make arrangements for our whole group. I plan to encourage my guests to book through my agent but if they want to book on their own that's fine too. Also if we book together we may have some advantage on group rates.

I agree that one contact person will probably be easier. This way you have a little more control if things go wrong. They will have all the info for the guests and it will be easier on them when it comes time to book. This is what I plan on doing once we pick our place, still looking

We are using a TA for our Tahiti honeymoon. I tried doing it myself but it was so confusing getting transfers on the islands and intra island airfares. We found an agent through the tourism board. She has been really great because she has been there alot. She has answered all my endless questions and actually beat my lowest itinerary price wise. I checked around alot and found that using a travel agent was so much easier. Anyway give her a shot if you are going to the South Pacific. Lisa Jones at Santa Barbara Travel American Express.
