Are any of you planning your own bachelorette parties?
I know most of us probably plan but under the guise of our MOH who will pass on the plans to everyone else. Most of you know my MOH is pregnant and lives in NC so I dont think she's going to attend which makes me sad and a little pissed but I can understand why. So, my question is, will it be tacky if I email/call all my friends to tell them the plan? How do I go about doing this?
I'm so worried that I won't have a decent sized turnout. Planning a wedding without your MOH being around (or even knowing if she'll make it to the wedding) and with a small bp (only one bridesmaid after my b itchy younger sister dropped out) is so hard! I know some people will laugh this off as unimportant but lately I've just been sad thinking about how this is supposed to be the happiest time of our lives and this is how it's turning out.

my friend planned her own. she had a lot of friends there too. it doesn't just have to be with the BP. i had a few extra that i wanted there. i requested to not know anything but the date, but you can totally do your own.

I planned my own - my MOH lives far away and is unfamiliar with NYC bars and restuarants so I just did it myself and sent out the evite myself. It was no big deal -- and worked out well because I did exactly what I wanted to do!

Try not to worry too much about the number of people. Instead, focus on making sure the people whose company you enjoy most can be there.
For my sister's bach. party, a number of people had scheduling conflicts, so we had a small number of people (only about 7 or 8), but everyone had a really great time. I'm sure yours will be fantastic, too!

I'm in a similar situation and I totally know how you feel. I'll probably organize a lot of it myself, but I've already started telling the people I really want there what I'm thinking about doing. I'm having girls outside the Bridal party come. If you can get just the few people that you're closest to and have fun with, it'll be great no matter who plans it. My sister planned her own the last minute and it was actually really fun with a decent turnout.

I am helping my MOH (sis) plan it ... I told her what I wanted to do and what date/time and got the info for her together.. she called them for details and let me know..

i dont think there is anything tacky about it at all..my bp was just telling me the other day topick out what i want to do so we can all plan it together..i think a email saying when can we all sit down and talk bout what we r going to do is a great idea....and if anyone says anythign u say u got permission from the moh to take over

ITA... can i just say that someone in my bp asked me how i felt about the whole stripper thing bc someone else in the bp wanted to dom something like that, but she was like uhh dont think gina is looking for that.... so its like you have the battle of what 1 friend wants to do vs what the bride wants to do... i told MOH to keep the chick in check lol its unreal...

exactlyyyyy the b ride may not want what the bridal party wants, but ohhh guess what its the brides bachlorette party, so help me build a bridge gina so they can get over it !!
