My mother is insisting that I will break her heart if I dont have a blusher on my wedding day but I feel like I havent really seen that anymore lately.
Isnt it sort of old fashioned these days?
It kinda creeps me out, like im hiding all the way down the isle.

I'm going back and forth with this idea also. I have to admit, when I tried one on at the bridal shop, I liked it!

I don't think it matters if its popular. I think a wedding is the last time to follow trends or do what other people want. If you want to, go for it! But you don't HAVE to wear one because your mom said so either. I am wearing one, but I am having a traditional Jewish wedding (which includes the bedekin, a 'veiling' ceremony) so I do HAVE to have one. HTH!

I was on the fence about it and in the end I am so glad that I did. It really is just for the ceremony and maybe a few photos after that. I really felt like a bride. It was so emotional having it put over me and then having my dad lift it up. I recommend doing it. When else will you ever be able to wear one? Again, I was a traditional bride but I just love it. Makes it more emotional! LoL

Re: Are Blushers Popular Anymore?
In response to the question of if it's popular anymore, when I was at the bridal salon, the girl that was helping me suggested that they are not. I would imagine she has some idea given that she is working with brides every day. She did also say however, that it is really important to some people so it doesn't really matter if it's popular or not!
For me, I think I wouldn't want to obscure my face as I am going down the aisle. I am going to be spending all that money on make-up... I want people to see it for my big reveal! lol

Don't go by if it's popular or not. Go by how you feel about them.
I personally didn't like the way it looked with my dress, and I felt slightly claustrophobic wearing it. So I decided on a regular veil without one.

i don't think you should go by whether or not it is popular or by what your mother wants.... i always envisioned a blusher when i thought about my wedding so i wore one and when my dad said he and my mom were giving me away he pushed it back and gave me a kiss on the cheek and then it stayed back.... you have to do what you are comfortable with

Exactly this! I think its timeless and its truly the only time in your life when you can do this. I hope to wear a circle viel with a blusher attached but I have to find my dress first!

I also think that its your wedding day, the only day that you can wear one, it could be as short as just wearing it down the aisle but you dont want to regret it after the wedding. Plus it is traditional and its something that makes you feel like a bride

I wore one..but I had a circle blusher..and all it was was a big round piece of vail that my dad actually took off of me completely so I didnt have to worry if my vail looked good after he lifted it...I always feel bad for the bride that goes through half a ceremony with a messed up vail! I got mine at the bridal salon in Manhasset

I actually just watched an internet recap (my videographer did) and the bride wore a blusher - i actually had tears in my eyes when i watched her father lift the veil to give her a kiss 'goodbye' and she got all choked up.
