My fiance and I just got into an argument because I bought a pair of high heels! Can you believe that? hah. He is about 2 1/2 inches shorter than me on flat feet, so in heels I am quite a bit taller than him. He says it makes him feel uncomfortable when I wear heels, which I only do on special occasions. So who agrees with him that I shouldn't buy heels even if I like them? BTW Ladies, Guess has shoes 50% off at Smithhaven mall!

Awwww, poor FH and poor you!!!!
I dated a shorter guy before dating FH, and he said he didn't care if I wore heels, but I didn't wear them because I didn't really believe him. At the same time, you're marrying your FH and you shouldn't be unable to wear heels for the rest of your life!! I think by wearing them only on special occassions you're doing more than enough to accomodate him.

I am 5'3.5' and my FH is about 5'6' - He knows i have a passion for heels - but he only asks that there is a balance between my flats and heels and I am pretty good at it. For the wedding I am wearing flats only to make him happy.

My FH says the same thing. I bought short heals for the wedding so I won't be taller than him, but I still wear heals on other occasions. I like the way I feel in them and that's just too bad for him

I don't know about this one. I understand how he feels - but I understand how you feel too!!
I think he's upset because if you wear them only on special occasions - it makes him dread those occasions...ya know?
Maybe you can compromise and wear them every other time at a special occasion?
My FH is exactly a foot taller than me - he frequently says i'm the perfect height for him. He feels that he is my protector, so it's a manly thing...

My DH does not care at all that he is shorter than me (well, same height in most shoes). I love the fact that he is confident enough not to care. I'm not really a heels person, though, so he knows that much of the time it will not matter.

fh is a little bit taller than me with no shoes...fh is the same way. everytime i put on a pair of heels he says 'those are to dressy for where we r going' lol...just b/c he doesnt want it to look like im taller, its just a guy thing i think...haha

DH looooves when I wear heels! Silly man that he is...when we first started dating I bought these $hit kicker boots and basically towered over him and he over heard some guy next to us say that I couldnt be with him i was too tall....he responded with 'actually she is and it makes for great leverage' I nearly died and the guy walked away.
I did buy low heels for the wedding just b/c I didnt want to be that much taller then him
