My mom loves the idea of pick-ups and a strapless gown. She looks and feels gorgeous in these styles, but there is a little voice inside of her asking if it is inappropriate to wear such a dress. What do you girls think? She looks stunning in a midnight blue with a pick-up skirt. Do you think it's too girly for the MOB?

It's the Watters and Watters style 880 that I've uploaded. We loved this one and an Impressions Separates, which is very similar, but with a fancier top.
I love it! ANd if your mom feels happy in it then tell her to get it! And no its not to girly!

I agree, I think she should wear a dress that she feels comfortable and beautiful in. I dont see it as being too 'girly'.
Maybe she'll be a little more comfortable if she had a shall or something like that to throw over her shoulders??

I say yes, but also that she knows her family--FMIL refuses to wear anything that is too frou frou b/c all of FH's aunts made fun of his other aunt's MOB dress at his cousin's wedding, and FMIL doesn't want to be ridiculed! So if she's sensitive about that, and that's what her voice is saying than she should think about if that really matters to her!
But, I think it's beautiful and if she can pull it off she should go for it!

i dont see how its inappropriate, let her feel beautiful and wear what makes her happy. You can't live your life based on what others might say bc someone will always have something to say and dont stop doing things that make you happy bc of them, its not worth it
my moms dress is not typical at all, its so different. I call it wild hahaha but in a good way

I answered no accidentally...i looked at the post question...not the poll question. I think it will look great on her. It is strapless but you could always get a wrap or a bolero.

I say yes only because it is just to BM looking. My girls were wearing a very similar style but then i changed it. The first gown my mom bought was a BM gown....she returned it and got something else. If there was a little more to it like crystals or something it would prob be better.
