Are Sweet Sixteens only For Girls?

I know of a boy whos having one and I thought that was strange.
When I was 16 it was only us girls that had it.

I always thought just girls. Though I saw on on the MTV show with a boy and was very surprised at what a crazy party they threw him for his 16th.

I saw that episode too! How ridisulous was that kid. I think his name was something wierd??? Ughhh I am drawing a blank!

'sweet 16s' are for girls. There is nothing wrong with a guy having a party for his 16th birthday, but it IS bizarre for a boy to call his party a 'sweet 16'.
