Are there any 40+ brides out there?

I was wondering if there are any other older brides out there. I am 45, my 2nd wedding ( I dont count the first one) and FH is 44, his first wedding.

My DH and I were both 51 years old on our wedding day...first wedding for both of us.

How did everyone meet their FH/DH?

I met my DH in a chat room. It turned out that we lived about 10 - 15 miles from each other.....

FH and I were set up on a blind date! My sister's best friend works with him and had been telling me for years that I had to meet him. I always blew it off - either I had a BF or he had a GF or I had sworn off dating.

After turning her down for about 5 years she sent me an email saying I HAD to go on a date with him. I said I wasn't interested but I'll go to make her happy.

That was a little over 2 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did! Needless to say, we will be honoring Marybeth in some way at the wedding!

I am Celia and its nice to meet all of you.

I met FH on a Singles site. We IM'ed each other and spoke of the phone for a few weeks. We finally met for lunch one Sunday. Lunch turned into a movie which turned into a 6 hr talk session at Forest Park. We just clicked from the beginning and he has be the love of my life since.

We met in High School but didn't start dating until a couple of years later. Needless to say, we've known each other a real long time....LOL.

I will definitely join the thread if one is started!!! Even though my wedding has happened already...hope you don't mind if I join??
And I know what you ladies mean about having a tough time relating sometimes...sometimes things get very dramatic and I don't see the need to get so upset, but I was different (more emoitional!) when I was in my 20s so I understand it lol...the one thing I think all brides here have in common is the desire to have the best wedding possible

I'm Renay. We meet on Match.com. We iM's at first talked on the phone twice and then met. First meeting was just to say hello face to face. The next day we took a drive to Delaware on the beach and talk some more. When he had drove me back to my place, he asked if he can call me tomorrow and will he see me again. I said, yes you can call me. That's when I knew he might be the one.
