Are there any brides whose parents think...

that the world revolves around your brother(s) and/or sister(s)??
This whole big thing happend last night with my bro:basically i asked him to give me a ride home last night because i could not even get through to a cab company and he said no
so many times my FH and I have traveled to help him out whethe rhe wanted a ride home, his car broke down, was in an accident...whatever....and what upset me most was that my parents made it seem like i was wrong!!!
my parents refuse to let me move out of the house before i am married - i honestly dont think they would take to me

I am beginning to think I just want to move out and say screw the big wedding and get married in city hall - its not what i have always dreamed of but what matters is being married to FH.

Uh yeah!!!!! It totally stinks. I know exactly where you are coming from. I couldn't take it anymore and moved out, but we are really struggling because since I moved out my parents will not help with the wedding. Hang in there and just keep yourself busy. Don't move out-it will just cause too much stress. Just my opinion....

My parents are very similar--my sister can do no wrong, and they think the world revolves around her. She's 8 years younger than I am, and not engaged or married, but whenever I talk about the wedding, my mom likes to talk about how 'Courtney's Wedding' will be. I'm sorry your parents made you feel you were wrong for calling your brother. It also ***** that he didn't give you a ride!

Hang in there. Look at it this way--you and FH will start your own lives very soon, and then you'll be out of the house!
