Hi, I am still wracking my brains over favors. I guess because it's getting close and so I'm re-analyzing everything. Anyway, I do not want to get a favor that people will just toss the day after the wedding because they have 18 of them already BUt do not want to seem cheap or cheesy either.
So far, I have cute satin bags that are personalized ( got em on ebay for a great deal). I was going to fill one with jelly belly jelly beans ( my fav) and one with chocolate truffles ( fh's favorite) for each couple. Also, I had these little fans made up to sit on the table that say thanks for joining us with our names and date ect..
Is this enough? I'm thinkikng now maybe I should add a bottle of wine or champagne or something but really wish I had thought of that FIRST because it's all adding up now to a lot of $$$..at what point do we draw the line? lol
please share your honest thoughts...I didn't buy anything yet cept the bags and the fans.
Thanks girls, val

Re: Are these enough favors?
i think you are good to go with the bags & fans.
a good piece of advice i was given....
a friend of mine went to a wedding and there were adorable, take home placecard holders, wedding fans, the program, and 2 favors.
she said, by the time she left, it felt like she just left a carnival and she felt bad for the bride who wasted all that money for people to feel silly leaving with their hands full...

Re: Are these enough favors?
I think that is more than enough, specially bc you are given your guest two things that are special to you and your FH. If you give out more you might be going for overkill. (Remember most women wear tiny bags to weddings )
PS- Its normal to doubt most things so close to the wedding.

Um no.........dont add anything you are fine. We are giving cookie cutters that cost $0.50 and donating $ to cancer. We weren't going to even give the cookie cutters but FH grandmother said people like to take something home. SO fine take a cheap @ss cookie cutter and the rest of my $ will go to help cancer research.

i think what your are doing is more than enough, too much will be over kill and you want people to talk about how much fun they had celebrating and not what stuff they got as favors

ditto - what you have is MORE than enough. Favors are just another thing to carry, you know?
