I am! FH has the NJ Nets game on right now, and they showed the snow outside the arena and said they expect 5-7 inches. Lordy I PRAY!!

Honestly, that would make my week off!!!!! Though, last time I prayed for a snow day, it wasn't canceled and the roads were horrible! I hope they make the right decision!!!

I am praying for it. Although I was just off for a week, I am not ready for tomorrow!

i'm outside dc right now and we got at least 5 inches here - if this is headed your way in the morning i'm gonna guess you'll get your wish... it was coming down so fast this morning/afternoon that you couldn't keep up with shoveling.

I hope they close the schools!!! What stinks for me is that I sub for 3 different schools....so I have a slim chance of all 3 being closed

I was off all week also, one more day would be great. I had so much to do my Eparty is Saturday busy planning all week. I need a day off. I'm praying please,please, please.

I doubt it... I couldn't believe my district didn't even have a delayed opening in that mess right before break... but my break has been stressful and chaotic since I just moved on Monday and have really had NO time to relax and catch up like I really needed to, so I REALLY need this day off just to catch up before work again. I've been procrastinating my lesson plans all day because I really can't even handle the idea of going back to work tomorrow...

I'm not holding my breath for a snow day though... our superintendent HATES closing.

the only way nyc schools will close is if the snow is up to the doorknobs! the only things i'm anticipating is a brutal commute into Brookyn

Oh my goodness, I know! I just opened the door to see, and I can't believe how much there is already! I didn't even realize the snow had started, and already we have a couple of inches it seems!

If a teacher can't make it, then why should you??? If it is dangerous outside schools should be smart enough to close ...It isn't worth the risk.

I received the phone call about 1 hr ago!!!!! Snow day!!!!!!!!
